STAR TREK MEETS NIGHT AT THE (RUBIN) MUSEUM

I’ve been asked to introduce an episode of Star Trek (original, not extra-crispy) with Jungian themes (“The Enemy Within” written by Richard Matheson) for a hoity-toity Jung-based film festival at the Rubin Museum in NYC. I’ll be doing that on Friday. Should be weird.

Psst, Haspiel sent me here. I think the most amusing thing about this episode is Spock’s lil’ rape joke at the end. And by amusing, I mean WTF?

Yes, I made comment on that. The amount of formal complaints the ship’s HR department would have gotten from that episode would have exhausted the staff. Does Starfleet entertain sexual harassment suits or have they moved beyond them?
